KUCHAR BACKED BY BOOKIES
Golf’s world number 14 Matt Kuchar may not have had the best starts to the new season of golf in 2012, but according to the bookies, he is still one of the players to watch out for in the upcoming Augusta Masters and is also being slated as a potential winner of one of the Major tournaments this year. Winning the Vardon Trophy in 2010 almost spelt a change of fortunes for the 34 year old golfer as since then, he has played in 24 events where he has had 19 finishes in the top 25, including 9 in the top 10.
Although he has failed to churn out the results that he would have liked, failing miserably in the World Golf Championship: Cadillac Championships as well as some of the other minor tournaments in 2012, Matt Kuchar is still being looked upon as a player who can turn the tables around at any time.
Furthermore, he has been working on his weaknesses in the time he has taken off and has been giving a lot of effort of his swings as well, according to the reports that were received. This can only mean that he is working hard to gain some momentum ahead of the Masters in the first week of April, an event that he has confessed to being his favorite where he enjoys playing and having finished with the best result of T-27 there, he is looking for his first Major title and wants it to be at Augusta.
But some of the experts and pundits of golf are worried about the confidence of Matt Kuchar, which they think is stuttering because of not converting the starts to wins but it can only take a decent outing on the greens to change all of that for a player like him.
