Wolsey, the heritage brand of Britain is expected to return back to the US Open at its major stage, while Tom Lewis, the tournament rookie will be seen representing the brand and will feature the Fox Logo, iconic to Wolsey, on his apparel, next week at Pinehurst Resort.
The British golfer, now at 23, qualified at the Walton Health Golf Club via his international sectional qualifier, post sinking a fifty foot birdie putt right of the 2nd playoff hole, and claimed his spot back on the course.
Wolsey was specially recognized from mid twentieth century and throughout 1970s, as a brand dealing in specialized Golf Range. Their Sportsman Collection features sophisticated, modern and extremely stylish tailored sportswears which are high performance, focusing on breathability and waterproofing. Their outerwear as well as performance polo, knit wear and baselayers all are quite popular among ace golfers. The collection feature subtle and clean British Menswear hues, textural patterns which are strong yet minimal, going by the phenomenon, less is more.
Talking about Wolsey’s return to the majors of US Open, brand director of Wolsey, Louis Wolcott commented that they are most elated to be back in the game and having Tom Lewis representing them is yet another feather to add to their cap. It’s a fine add-on to their existing heritage.
Young Lewis is one of the brightest lights of golfing in Britain, and he turned a professional only in late 2011. Without any delay he was bestowed with the title of Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year after he bagged the European Tour’s Portugal Masters.
